Your Local Burnside Dentist on Greenhill Road
Finding a Burnside dentist you’re happy to stick with for the long haul matters, especially when the whole family needs looking after. Linden Park Tusmore Dental looks after general, cosmetic and implant dentistry for adults and children, with a calm, unhurried approach and modern equipment that keeps appointments efficient.
A Burnside Dental Clinic Just Down the Road
For more than 23 years, our practice has been part of the Burnside community. These days we work from a purpose-built clinic at 479 Greenhill Road, Tusmore, which for most Burnside residents is a quick drive along Greenhill Road without having to head into the city.
Parking is easy, with entrances off both Greenhill Road and Tusmore Avenue, and the building has wheelchair access throughout. Each treatment room has a ceiling-mounted screen, so you can put on a show or some music while we work. It sounds like a small thing. For nervous patients, it often makes a real difference.
Inside, the clinic is set up with digital x-rays, intraoral scanning, CBCT imaging and an in-house CEREC milling unit. That means more of your care can happen under one roof, and it’s a big part of why many locals treat us as their Burnside dental clinic rather than travelling further afield.
Burnside CEREC Crowns
Traditional crowns usually mean two visits, a temporary crown and a few weeks of waiting on a lab. With same-day CEREC crowns and restorations, we scan the tooth digitally, design the crown on screen, then mill it from a ceramic block here in the clinic. For suitable teeth, the whole process is finished in a single appointment. No impression trays, no temporary. Some cases still need a conventional crown, and your dentist will explain why if that applies to you.

Dental Care for Burnside Patients
Most visits start with a check-up and clean, but our team also handles the more involved work that patients sometimes assume means a trip into the city.
Burnside Dental Implants
A missing tooth affects more than appearance. Over time, neighbouring teeth can drift into the gap and chewing becomes uneven. Dental implants replace the root of the tooth with a small titanium post that sits in the jawbone, supporting a crown on top. Before recommending implants, we assess bone levels with 3D CBCT imaging and talk through whether an implant, bridge or denture suits your mouth and your circumstances. Not everyone is a candidate, and we’ll be upfront if another option makes more sense.
What to Expect When You Visit
New patients usually start with a full examination, any x-rays that are due and a professional clean. Your dentist will go over what they find in plain language, show you images from the intraoral camera where it helps, and talk through options and costs before any further treatment begins. Nothing is rushed, and you’re always welcome to take a plan home and think it over.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far is the clinic from Burnside?
We’re at 479 Greenhill Road, Tusmore. For most people living in Burnside, it’s a short drive along Greenhill Road, and there’s on-site parking with access from both Greenhill Road and Tusmore Avenue.
Can every crown be made in one visit?
Not every crown suits CEREC. Large restorations, certain bite problems or teeth needing a different material may be better served by a lab-made crown. Your dentist will check the tooth first and recommend the approach that fits.
When should my child first see a dentist?
A first visit around the time the first teeth come through, or by their first birthday, is a good starting point. Early visits are mostly about getting comfortable and checking development, so small issues can be picked up before they become bigger ones.
What should I do with a dental emergency outside opening hours?
Call the clinic as soon as we open and we’ll do our best to see you that day. If you have significant facial swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, or a serious injury to the face or jaw, go to your nearest hospital emergency department straight away.
Are dental implants suitable for everyone?
Implants depend on healthy gums, enough jawbone to support the post, and general health factors such as smoking or certain medical conditions. An assessment with 3D imaging helps us work out whether implants are a practical option or whether a bridge or denture would suit you better.
